Combining photography and audio is a great option to tell a story on a additional level. I did another multimedia piece for The Associated Press about Turkish doner kebab, the snack which is so popular in Germany and especially in Berlin. Doner kebab was in invented by Turkish immigrants around 1970 in Berlin and has overtaken traditional German fast food such as Currywurst or other stuff as the country's favorite snack on the go.

DR-100 recorder, which I like even it's a little bit bigger and not very easy to carry. I'm pretty happy with the sound. I have an external microphone, but for my recent slideshows I just used the internal stereo mics of the Tascam to be a little bit more flexible without being trapped in microphone cable. If you are working on such a project without assistant it’s more important to keep it as simple as possible. I used Premiere Pro for the edit of this version, but I had to produce another version for AP in soundslides, which is a nice and simple program, but of course Premiere gives you much more creativity. Soundslides offers the option to show or hide the caption of the photos, if you have a caption in the IPTC field - I don't know other program with this option so far and AP is using soundslides all the time for their multimedia productions.
